Unique situation - Can I route NM cable like this?

I've searched and haven't found anything saying it's not permitted.

Poured concrete on steel decking on LVL beams. 2 story garage. This was done before I bought the house:

There's basically a 1.5" high x 2" wide hole to pass through. Obviously I'd secure along the LVL beams as per the NEC, but was wondering if there was anything prohibiting routing cable like I'm looking to do.

I've seen a lot of exposed NM in unfinished garages and attic spaces. I can't imagine it would be against code as long as it is properly secured along the way and within 6" of it's termination. Where does it start and end?

as long as that is not roof decking your are golden
