How rare are these? I've had this sitting in my shop for a few years now, doesn't get used. What do these usually go for? And if so is anyone interested?fd2afd154d0cd092e4728a01f89b8590.jpgb945a801a0d1cf52dc455375d57b7a3e.jpga47b82c8c78a6a3fbbf834e48a9b3ff7.jpg267c397d4a47984f2aa313e1ccab5efb.jpg

That's a nice Australian made one. My vice is very similar. They're not exactly common here, the regular non-offset type are much more often seen. I can't imagine there are tons of Dawns in the States.

Red indicates it's cast iron (blue would be cast steel, green SG iron). The Dawn cast iron is pretty sturdy stuff.

I could tell you what they're worth over here but that probably wouldn't help you much! Replacement parts have been available for all the Dawns I have had to replace bits and pieces on so there's that in it's favour.

Just guessing here. I would think the offset design would be so you could put a long piece in the vise vertically.

Since it's Australian the offset design is probably a weird adaptation to kill you
