I mounted a Sterling Garage Guy 45k BTU output heater in my garage today (same as Beacon Morris). I miscalculated the amount of B-vent used for the slip fit, and how it sits puts the fan output side of the heater hanging over my mezzanine by about 3". I don't think this is a big deal, I don't expect a large amount of air output to be at the very edge of the opening. I can get a 6" longer section of B-vent and move it so it will sit 3" past the mezzanine but then the heater may infringe on my intended light mounting location if I'm to leave much clearance on the side of the heater, so I'd prefer not to move it further from the mezzanine. Another option that may be a bit of a pain for mounting is to angle the heater slightly so it blows into the open space and not directly perpendicular to the mezzanine.
What are your thoughts on this mounting location and how I should change it, if at all?
