Unit heater recommendations

Hello,

I'm in the middle of building a 32 x 28 x 9 garage/shop in NW Wisconsin. I would like to install a unit heater (Natural Gas) and I am leaning toward a sealed or separated combustion model since I don't want to worry about fumes from paint of sawdust igniting.

I understand that Reznor is a very common brand... but I wonder what the differentiator is? in my other garage, I have this Beacon Morris model:

http://www.menards.com/main/heating-cooling/gas-kerosene-heaters/indoor-gas-kerosene-heaters-and-accessories/vented-heaters/45-000-btu-direct-vent-garage-heater/p-2189170-c-6865.htm

This BM heater is effectively 1/3 of the cost of the Reznor. Any thoughts or recommendations as to why? Any other brand of heat source recommendations?

I like the idea of a direct vent wall heater (Rinai, etc)... but I'd prefer not to give up that wall space.

Thanks

Reznor is a full commercial/industrial product. The heater available at Menards isn't. It's a residential/light commercial product. So if you took both apart, you would likely see that almost everywhere, the Reznor is built a bit 'heavier/nicer/more intelligently'.

What that means for you, a residential user, we cannot say. But it's the same reason that people may be willing to buy Snap-On tools vs. Kobalt.

Also, it seems if you shop around, the price difference isn't as big as you say. Reznor for $885:

I had the 75k version from Menards in my previous garage for about 10 years. Worked great. I think I replaced the flame sensor once, otherwise no issues.
