So when I bought my Lincoln it came with a lot of filler rods. I figured which were aluminium, but there is a bundle I can't figure out. They're not magnetic, rules out ER70S. They are a brass'ish color but duller....maybe silcon bronze?

It sounds like it's time to collect some sample pieces and start making puddles.

The "'ish but duller" description sugests that the rods are oxidized. All of your rods will oxidize, but some do it faster and thicker than others.

Or find someone at the local Tech College and have them do a hardness test. From that data, you'll be able to figure it out.

Most Machine shops have a way of measuring hardness. It'll be a good educational thing for everyone involved. The Hardness machines get ignored and overlooked.

Good Luck, post progress info.

On Edit..... Typically,....TIG rods have some sort of stamping and gas rods don't. I often weld with coat hangers, as a filler.
