I'm a retired auto mechanic and slowly selling my stuff on ebay for extra cash. I haven't gone through my workshops or garage in ages and am finding things I have no idea what they are. My Grandfather did all the plumbing for Teddy Roosevelt's home in Oyster Bay Ny as well as regular plumbing business so I think some of what I have are plumbing tools. I've found aircraft tools etc, and really do appreciate the help you have given me in the past. Wish I knew about this great sight years ago.
Again I need help.
The first says Mueller 1-1/4" H180Co
The second items have no marks but one has 3/4 on it
The third is 4- 3/4 inches long. No marks
The last is 3-1/2" long and says the pat was May 29 94. I appreciate any help. Thanks in advance Ron

Some pictures would really help. Other members may be interested in your goods and be willing to pay fair prices.

I'm new to this. Thought I posted the pictures but I see they didn't come up. Will try to figure out what I did wrong.

Click go advanced, manage attachments, choose the files, upload and that should be it. Only problem, if you're using an iPhone it will only let you upload one picture per post and most the time they come out sideways. For that, we use Photobucket or Tapatalk apps.

Fire up a browser window and go to Google.
In the search box enter "patent by date".
On the page with the search results, click the DATAMP site.
On the DATAMP page, enter your date into the little box at top. In your case be sure you enter it as May 29 1894.
Hit the "GO" button.
Next page shows all the patents issued on that date. You've got 15 to choose from. From there it's hunt-and-find.
Patent number will tell you when the patent was issued, who the assignee was, and (hopefully) who manufactured it. (The "manufacturer" information can at times be misleading - sometimes you'll have to cross-check it with other sources.)
Be sure to read the notes down at the bottom of the page relating to the patent.

If you have the patent number on an item, simply go to Google and enter "Patent 1234567" and chase it from there. Again, the DATAMP site is probably your best bet on vintage stuff.

Google's patent information sites are goofy.
Use the DATAMP site of the US Patent Office sites.
