Found this from a local private seller while cruising for old drill presses...any idea about what it is? He says the plate with the info is rubbed off and he has no information about it.

Interesting. I think I might go ****** it up today. I'm going to offer $50 and see what happens. He says that it runs great. Could be a fun project!

It's funny, I started putting together a shop to make knives about a month ago and now I'm obsessed with drill presses...I'm going to go pick up a taiwanese 16 speed guardian power DP from the 80's for 100 bucks on the way back from getting this one!

He started at $150 and wants to meet in the middle at $100 firm...you guys think its worth it? Its about 45 minutes away so its not too much of a commitment.

Depends on the condition. It looks like the table is clean, so it was not abused. If the spindle bearings are good, the motor is correct for a drill press (1750 rpm, rigid mount, ball bearing), and no missing parts then $100 is not out of line. FWIW, I have a "150" floor model with middle pulley and I would ask twice that amount for mine--it's worth that much to me.

It looks like it has the rare table hold down clamps, OR that may be a mortising setup or something. :dunno: but for $100, I'd have it in the truck and home by now. I paid $175 for my Craftsman 100/150 bench model with NO motor.

Definitely worth $100 IMO. If you need to know anything about this drill press FrankLee has a awesome thread about these old Craftsman DP's.
