Picked this up a few weeks ago at the local flea market. The seller said I could have it for 10 but I had to take the pipe cutter with it. It's missing the 1/2" 12 point socket. Any idea on the vintage?

A few more pics.
Mid to late thirties. Looks like my Brazil set to a tee. Wanna trade? I won a wartime snappy box full. I could only see pics but quite sure tools are wartime. Email or text me for details. I pick it up tomorrow.

While I'm no expert on these, it appears as if the philosophy behind the female ratchet design with the plug was to have a ratchet they could also sell standalone to owners of older male-tang sockets. Broaching inside sockets resembles photos I've seen of "2nd generation" S-K female socket design. So I'd agree we're looking at mid- to late-1930s. Very nice find!!!! :rocker:

The ratchet is a Duro until an SK ratchet shows up.
Remember Paul Harvey? "And now you know the rest of the story." It helps to know if everything's original in the set. Based on the socket style and broaching, though, I still think I'll stick with Twertsy on this at mid- to late-1930s.

Oh yeah, before I forget, I don't want you to feel that you haven't received your due respect from me for your find, you definitely get a You **** award for this set.
