Hi folks,

Picked this up on Wednesday for $100:

It runs nice and is in decent shape, except the switch does not stay in "Off" - only works in Auto.

I bought a Square D 9013 switch off eBay, since the original one is NLS and the fix is to replace the whole switch and regulator assembly. The regulator and gauges seem fine.

The exact model number of my new-to-me switch is 9013FHG12J52M1, which doesn't seem to have a built-in unloader.

Can I leave the old switch in place and use its unloader, or should I buy a new one?

Thanks!

M

Thanks. After a ton of more research I think the answer is "no". If the unloader in the current switch is anything like the one that should have been in the Square D switch, it's mechanical and is activated by the action of the switch turning off.

I will either get an unloader (http://www.grainger.com/product/SQUARE-D-Unloader-Valve-2FJ24) or buy a different switch that already has one.

Incidentally, the X suffix on the switch model number means it has an unloader.

If it helps you any, the PN for the switch for my 20 gallon Speedaire/Campbell Hausfeld is CW209000AV, and it does have an unloader. I'm assuming that's a CH number.

Plug off the small unloader line that goes to the pressure switch and install a load genie in the line from the pump head to the tank.
