unmarked ratchet

I have this 1/2" drive ratchet that has a patent number and a model number (3202-R) but no brand/manufacturers name that I can see. Can somebody tell me who made it and about when? Thanks.

Those Indestro reversing ratchets with the removable plug were specified in some wartime sets. With the shiny bit, yours may not be wartime but it is close to that period of time. It might be a super ratchet but only Williams made Superratchets. With the pressed together construction technique, no repairs are possible however they are nearly indestructible. They are the ratchets that came in these sets, among others. There were several variations including non-reversible, or with fixed plug. The very similar Duro Chrome ratchets were branded and a little longer.

You can pop that selector. They are pretty tough otherwise. The unmarked versions sometimes popped up in retail sets, such as chromex.
