I bought this small vise on eBay. I was just looking for something small, and this said, Made In USA, so I purchased for $20. I did a little research and couldn't find anything on it. It's only marked on the handle "MF. CO. MADE IN USA No. 18", inside the vise it is marked "5". Anyone one have a clue what it is?

Look on the inside of the table clamp portion, the piece parallel to the table clamp screw. Sometimes they are marked there.

I didn't see anything there, in the back, between the top and bottom sections, or between the jaws

That has to be it! It uses the same nut.
And has a similar casting for the top portion of the vise. Thanks!

Brink & Cotton was known for manufacturing a large number of vises almost identical to that. The color combination isn't typical for the Brink & Cotton vises, but they likely made the vises private label for a number of other manufacturers.
