We get calls from contractor, almost everyday. My wife finally got one of them to disclose where they got our phone number. Turns out to be a real estate broker. Is this legal?

Unless the broker signed something where the broker promised not to sell your number to telemarketers, it's probably legal. I'm in the same boat as you. I've got one scammy window company that called me every few days even after I told them to put me on their DNC list. I finally got them to stop when I threatened to sue them under the TCPA if they kept it up.

Yes. Best thing to do is not answer the phone unless its a recognized number. If its important, they will leave a message. If not, then let it go, eventually they will stop calling.

Tell them you are on the DNC registry and to stop calling. If they call back, sue them.

Next, place a call to the realtor in question. Tell them to stop or you will take them to court.

All our phones are on the DNC registry. I haven't bought, our sold, a house in 26 years.
Most of the time they call my wife's phone, I will let her know to tell them we are on the DNC and to take us off their call list.
Thanks for the input.
