So I opened up my brand new 1/4 drive SAE shallow socket set and as I transfer them to my Hansen trays I notice that my 9/32 socket has no stampings on it. The finish is perfect but it has no size markings or the SO logo it is completely blank. Anyone else have a similar experience. and yes this was a shrink wrapped set off the truck. :dunno:

it can happen. usually theyre on crooked or uneven. I would exchange it asap, incase you ever have to warranty it.

Never had it happen on a SO set, but had it happen on a Craftsman set .. Sears would not exchange it since it had no markings.

Every tool company makes an oops once in a while.I had a Snap On screwdriver with the wrong shank from a set I bought from a member here.Is a T15 torx screwdriver and it had a T10 torx shank.Snap On dealer down the road in my area replaced the shank with the right shank.
