Saw this on Facebook. Usually when I see a tool I don't recognize I search for it here and don't need to post.

Searched for Solomon Anderson 1845 and Excalibur 4 which was in the description but didn't find anything.

I can't imagine what the curved back is for?

Interesting, I didn't get from the picture that the claw part could still pull nails.

Any chance it is a collector item worth $500 ? That's the asking price on Facebook.

Well it's different. I wouldn't be my 1st. choice if I was looking for a hammer to do carpentry work though.
