I just picked up this rolling base earlier today. It measures approximately 27” tall from the floor to the top of the rail. The wheels are retractable, and the mechanism works well. It came with a thin steel top which I removed for transport. I plan to put a butcher block top on it instead.

Does anybody recognize it? I haven’t seen one that looks like this before, and am wondering what it was originally designed for.

Typewriter table maybe? It reminds me of one I garbage picked as a kid. It had drop leaf sides, or one side, I can’t remember. We used it to hold small bbq grill for years.

I had a similar one. They are great on smooth floors. The cord sweepers do a good job of keeping the wheels clear of obstacles.
