i think this guy has a case of firstgencamaroitis...

just because you saw a 67 camaro on barrett jackson go for 100k doesn't mean your rusty old 67 is worth 100k

just because you saw a snapon box go for 5k doesnt mean any snapon box goes for 5k

especially in this economy

They made a mini pit box and copies of vintage boxes as well.

What are these things really worth used? I have a friend that was a Snap On dealer and he used to get pieces of these for meeting slaes goals for tool boxes. He has two complete units just like on the Craigslist ad. He says that he wants to sell it to me but doesn't know how much $$$.

I'd buy it to organize my Snap-On 1/8" drive set, but since they only made about 4 sockets for that maybe I don't actually need to organize it...
Fascinating but useless! And dumb that none of the pictures shows anything normal-sized to give a good visual sense of what the thing looks like.

These boxes are not practical for a shop or garage but they are high quality and COOL! I just want one to put in my sons bedroom so that he can keep his hotwheels and Thomas the train parts in it. He has a car bed and one of those Model T go carts like you see in the parades in his room so this type of box would fit right in. I know that he would love one of these.

I was thinking the same thing--it would be cool for my son!

There is one of those at the Butler Tool Co. in Round Lake, they are very nice and would be great in the shop, probably with the wheels removed and placed on top of a cabinet, but they definitely aren't toys.

Here's the original ad for when the originally linked ad is expired, that's right expired, because it sure as hell isn't going to sell at that price.

I can't get him lower than $550. I have tried for two months and this is it. My sons third birthday is coming up and he would love it but I don't want to over pay. Does anyone else have one of these?

Another point is the drawers are only 14 inches deep. That is just about 1/2 of what the real deal is which is 29 1/2 deep.
