I've not seen this type of vise grip before. But at only a couple of bucks at a yard sale, it was worth checking out.

I'm not terribly impressed the jaw inserts. Seems like they would be fairly easy to break, but it's still an interesting design. No name or identification marks that I could spot.

Huh, that's kind of nifty, if they hold up at all. Still, for the average user or hobbyist, these might be great. Pretty neat idea, really. Cool find. I love picking up items like this. At the very least, they make for great conversation.

Another pair surfaces in Canada. I got this set for $5 at a community garage sale.

ALLGRIP made by ALLTRADE Taiwan.

While I'm at it here is an unusual pair of Seymore Smith No. 1610 Snap-Lock VG's with a pivoting jaw that remains flat on a nut or what ever the shape of the surface.

I can hear it now:

"Hey, check out these Vice Grips I got with interchangeable jaws."
"Neat."

Well, that's what the conversation would be like with my friends.

I'm so lonely.

Vegaman, Snap! That was the sound of me snatching those up (I wish).

They'd be in my "portable" tool kit because they'd provide many options compared to the weight and volume.

I don't remember ever seeing any of the examples before. Nice find.

Affordable replacement teeth would make the price of Vice Grips recent mush jaw pliers way pore palatable. I round out at least 10 sets of teeth to other parts of vice grip destroyed.

I hear ya, even my mechanic friends get glassy eyed when I start talking tools.

Also, I try to avoid looking in their tool boxes, I would feel compelled to organize them....lol
