Cornwell tools has updated their website. You can view their monthly flyer to see their insane special prices, view videos, see new products, and check out their catalog. However, you still can't buy their tools online. :wtf:

Yeah, they sent me an e-mail today about that; however, I haven't gone there yet because I've been busy texting on GJ. :D

I got email from Cornwell yesterday about their updated site; was hoping to buy something from them on their website since I don't own any Cornwell tools ..

I really like the video on their Manufacturing page. Granted I really like manufacturing processes. I sure don't think details on the cycle times on production steps are going to help them sell many tools. I guess that is what is so cool about small family held companies. They are probably more interested in selling dealerships than actual tools through their website.

Neat video...

I wonder how well they maintain their tooling... especially the punches that form the business end of sockets and wrenches. Ever really looked at a Craftsman raised-panel wrench? That tooling should be condemned!

All of my chrome cornwell sockets are awesome looking my only complaint is that they are so thin walled they break a little easier than the other truck brands, on the other hand because they are so thin it makes them awesome in tight places.

actually they are better than MAC and MATCO in that respect. their part numbering system makes it easy to identify which tools are cornwell manufactured and which are asian imports. and AFAIK they make most of their own hardline and here in the us.

I received an email from a cornwell sales rep saying that "their internet sales, will be up in the near future". I've been wanting to get their 4 lb sledge with a 12 in handle!

Please detail how to decipher their part #'s to distinguish between made in usa and otherwise.

as a rule cornwell will identify "allied" items with a prefix in the part number. i would give you an example but their new site locks up my puter :bowdown:

there was reference to this in another thread that gave the code for the asian made torx sockets. it was cbs for them IIRC.

ok here are some examples.......
ccl=channellock
ls=lisle
ow=otc
kn or kx=knipex

it's not just that they identify country of origin but the manufacturer, but you can tell by mfr where it is made.
