have this for my storage building, was a 3 stall horse barn, converted it a couple years ago with a freebie garage door we cut into the side of it, and then poured concrete in the 1/2 that was dirt. closed up the stall turnouts with tin acquired from garage door cut in. thing still looks plain as can be though.....

im still a gimp on surgery, but Tuesday is go back to 100% duty at work, so I ran the screw gun and sheer, while dad got the wild idea to waynescoat this building with some tin and channel from a building we took down that I had laying around since we had a nice 40* Chicago winter day

Now paint the man door a matching color. Some sandpaper and a pint of paint it will blend in better. It is already looking better, although my OCD would want both buildings to match as they bookend the house, lol.

Your dad had the right idea.
It did look tall and skinny.
A darker color at a low level will "bring it down."

Defiantly looks far nicer from the house and street views now. More astically pleasing
Yes, man door paint is on list for fiancé once spring hits. And to caulk a few of the extra holes in the used tin shut.
Spent about $50 on materials and 7 hours on this project

It does look alot better with the wainscoting. I was also going to suggest painting the man door but looks like it's in the future.

I'll suggest something I've been wanting to see on buildings with wainscoting, ever consider painting the door to match the waincoting. . . splitting the color on the door ?
