Hi all,

I swapped out my factory castors on my Snap On KRL-773 for a set of Faultless I picked up off ebay. The old set has seen better days and did not roll well.

Pretty easy change to make and it makes a huge difference being able to move the box around. The hardest part was safely jacking up the box without having it roll around the garage.

I just wanted to show that older boxes can benefit from this update and it's a quick swap.

I bought the castors from "cin-pt" on ebay.

Old Castor

There is a height difference between the stock and replacement!

Showing the old mounting holes - you can see where the old set mounted and all the holes were there for the larger size

Just remove the old hardware, align the new parts and reuse the bolts and you're good to go.

Happy wrenching!

Those casters are really, really nice quality for the price. Sealed bearings, etc...I will say I don't think all Snap-On boxes have both sets of holes from the factory.

If you roll it a lot I can see upgrading to the larger spring loaded, but if you did because the casters are worn out, those are lifetime warranty. I had a caster replaced because the grease zerk popped out.
