floor in my garage and drive is rough dimpled concrete.

this makes my engine hoist a noisy nightmare to move around - the wheels hook up on the slightest imperfection - redoing the floors aint an option .... well not the drive anyway.

has anyone fitted weight rated rubber coated wheels to the rear wheels in place of the hardplastic/metal wheels fitted.

What weight rating did you use ? obviously the craned rated to 1 tonne + weight of the crane but it aint seeing close to 1 tonne on the rear wheels.

Move it with a hand truck, or mount a set of balloon tires that only touch with it tilted back or something. Single tire might work fine.

I have to use a dolly too. The wheels on mine (advance auto) just folded the first time I used it to pull a small block and auto ******. Always wanted to swap the wheels for some decent casters but never got around to it.
