Full time auto mechanic, I have a gen 1 fuel 1/2 impact, and am curious whether it’d be worth upgrading to the gen 2 because I’ve got a bad 1/2 gun, the gen 1 Still works for 80% of what I do, and if it doesn’t work my 2235timax does the trick. Has anyone else had gen 1 and bought the gen 2? I feel like my gen 1 has gotten a tad weaker, doesn’t seem as badass as it was.

Also, Milwaukee is releasing a mid torque 3/8 gun, which I’m pumped for. My m18 fuel 3/8 had always been pretty gutless, never really gets caliper bolts off. I alsready have 4 3/8 guns, but I’m sure I can convince myself to buy another. I have a problem

Is your impact still under warranty? If so send it in.

As far as upgrading I used the mid torque 1/2 inch and love it!

I sold my 2763 and bought the 2767. There is a substantial difference. I would confidently say if you got the 2767 you would never touch your air gun again. Plus it's a little more compact. I do wish I held out for the One Key model though.

The Gen2 2767 certainly feels more torquey than the 2763. It wants to twist your wrist more.

It's also noticeably more compact which is nice (I'm not saying it is compact except for relative to the 2763)

Your working in a shop? Wouldnt it be cheaper to run air tools?
People always say cordless is more expensive but I have never once paid even remotely close to retail with sales, coupons, or ebay. Shop or not, cordless is convenient. I hate cords and hoses. I still use air for my die grinders(straight and 90°) if it's anything more than 20 min of work(if less I use my cordless die grinder or M12 sander), and then my air hammer. I don't think they'll have a practical replacement for those for a while

Me too that extra half inch saved my **** on an RV front seal job right away.
Tried them side by side on regular pickup lugs and it was a wash. 2767 also loses a huge amount of power through too many extensions. My 2763 was still working perfect, and cleaned up pretty good, so when I used the 25% ebay coupon on the 2767, I barely spent anything on the upgrade. ...Till I wasted my savings on a silly rubber boot. the 2763 fit well in my old v18 impact case, the 2767 not so well, its a little fatter.
