FHX80A for me. Only difference is I prefer to support my local small business person (snap-on dealer) rather than buy off eBay. Can’t complain about all the USA tool companies going off shore if you don’t support them.

This is fair, however, I reached out to Snap On twice looking for a franchise near me, no response. So I gave up. But your point is valid.

can’t defend snap-on on that one. Only suggestion I can give is try calling snap-on if you haven’t already as I have always got better support from them when I call. My snap-on guy is awesome he gives cash discounts and has never denied any service even screw drivers he knows I used as a chisel.

Confucius say, “One doesnt just dip their toes in the Snap-on water...”
So I have been using my ratchets for the past few weeks. The Flex head are still a novelty to m, but I do like the F80.

issue is......

I find the "sloppiness" between the ratchet to the extension to the socket to be interminable. So I am looking at replacing more and more things with nicer versions.

****.

the "sloppiness" between the ratchet to the extension to the socket is near zero with Ko-ken Zeal items

and before anybody accuses me of being a ko-ken fan boy, I used to worship in the Church of SnapOn

Grab an old SK 45170 roundhead and slap in one of their DT90 rebuild kits. Doubles the tooth count - same old handle and durability.

Well for what it's worth, I've had excellent customer service from Snap-On just by calling. Very friendly, and stuff shows up quickly.
Yup. If the price isn't a factor, I don't see much in the way of downside to getting a set of Snap On ratchets. I was just putzing around in my box and spent a minute spinning mechanisms & feeling the handles on my various ratchets, and the F80 and his brothers all had that "just right" thing going on (vs. Tekton, Carlyle, Icon, Sunex). The next closest was my Icons (pear and roto). There are lots of things where I wouldn't bother with the premium Snap On commands, but they really have ratchets figured out, and if you're buying directly from them I see no reason why their customer service wouldn't be fine also.
