URD, USE, MHF inside a building

I will have about a 50 foot run underground from the house to my subpanel, using 2-2-2-4 aluminum wire. I plan to run the buried URD up the exterior garage wall in conduit, then through a 90 where it penetrates the wall. I could come through the wall relatively low, and then turn and come into the bottom of the sub-panel (my preference), or I could come directly into the back of the panel.

My question: How do I interpret/apply the restriction on URD being run "inside a building"? If I come through the wall with conduit at about 12" above the floor, and then a couple feet up to the bottom of the panel, I would have 2-3 feet of URD (in conduit) inside the garage. Is that prohibited?
Is there any alternative for a four wire 2-2-2-4 cable that I can run underground in conduit and then also run a short distance inside the garage to connect to the panel?

Straight rated URD with USE insulation can't come inside a building at all.

If it's dual rated as RHH, RHW, etc than it's okay. The URD they sell in this area is dual rated.

You most likely won't know what type you're getting unless you put your own eyes on the actual wire to read what kind of insulation type it has.

Isnt this same project in another thread you started?

I Would run mhf continous from panel to panel all in conduit. Avoid any splices and use LB's to come into back of garage panel and at house foundation. It it easier/cheaper/quicker to turn conductors in an lb than to put a jbox box in and then deal with splicing. Also better in long term.

Or use individual conductors pulled in same conduit idea. Price out cheapest conductor method available and how much time you want to spend prepping for the pull.

As Aceman said, URD is not allowed inside, unless dual rated.
MHF can be run both inside and out, but it has to be in conduit inside.
SER can be run inside or outside, but never underground.

MHF or aluminum THWN the whole way in conduit would be the easiest option.

I am using MHF all in conduit for my build. Conduit comes up inside the wall and will go in conduit into the panel.

Sorry about any confusion. This is the same project, but now I'm just trying to get the right cable, so I figured it was a more specific question.

When I search online for 2-2-2-4 cable, some hits are shown as USE2/RHH/RHW-2 MHF cable, and others come up with the URD designation. I figured URD was not what I wanted, but needed to be sure.

I'm thinking of using XHHW for my garage feeder, From what I've read, it can be used indoors as well as outdoors, but it has to be in conduit the whole way.
