Urethane bubbles

used a brush in three spots while laying topcoat it bubbled. Aliphatic urethane.20201010_181202.jpg

Will it hurt the coating? How can I remedy?

This issue is usually caused if the aliphatic urethane is applied too thick. My suggestion would be to sand it down either by hand or an orbital If the product is really hard. After sanding, solvent wipe and reapply.

I prefer to tape off the area that I am repairing so I do not apply the coating to an unsanded area that doesn't need it.

Would it be okay to use a 80 grit nylon wheel? I have a ton of chips so its not entirely flat. Thats why I'm asking.

Agree, orbital works well or if a very small area a hand sanding block can work to knock down the bubbles and carefully recoat.
