Does anyone here have any experience with the uscompressor.com screw compressors.

https://www.usaircompressor.com/products

Looking at possibly picking up the 7.5hp single phase compressor. Had a friend with one and it worked good but anyone here have experience long term? The reviews on google aren't very good .

Need something higher cfm to operate my plasmacam as well as a sandblast cabinet I'm going to be running in the future.

Also no opposed to a standard compressor. Looking for something 30cfm or higher. Single phase. Have wire ran already to use 50amps if needed.

Probably most definitely China compressors. I love how at the top of the page it reads, and I quote, "Intelligient Air Compressor Solutions". Cracked me up.

Did more research and definitely shady company from what I've read about getting parts or maintenance on the machine.

Looking for a good quality 7.5hp single phase vertical compressor now. What do ou guys suggest. Been reading up on ir, Quincy, emax and champion. Also local company sells fscurtis so may stop by and check those out. Highest demand unit will be blast cabinet which says 38cfm

FWIW, the FS Curtis E-57 is very loud and uses a proprietary air filter set-up that is difficult to adapt an intake silencer to. FS is a Chinese company that bought out Curtis.

I suggest Quincy QR-25 series, Saylor- Beall or Champion. All 3 are made in America and are quality units. The Quincy's are pressure lubed and both SB and Champion offer pressure lube as an option. I'd include an automatic receiver condensate drain, air cooled aftercooler and magnetic starter.

Looks like they use the Saylor-Beall knock-off pump, which I've seen used on a couple of different brands. Very interesting :wtf: (and large) noise suppressor / intake air set-up, between that and the low 640 (7.5hp) & 600 (10hp) RPM, I can see how they can get them down to 73/76 db.

I also noticed a pilot valve w/ a ball valve, so it also is set-up for dual-run operation...nice feature.

I'd be curious as to pump longevity compared to a Saylor-Beall. I'd rather stick with a manufacturer that actually builds their own pumps in-house and in the USA. Quincy, Saylor-Beall and Champion all build their own pumps and assemble the complete units. Support American beer drinkers...buy American!

In the only town in Pennsylvania, Bloomsburg.
Unless things have changed rotary compressor are used where they run constantly for long durations, they are not meant for stop and go air supply. They are not as common as reciprocal compressors so parts and service will be higher, less available.

Arguably the Quincy QR series, as in the QR 235, 340, 350 are you best bet, well supported, parts available even on Ebay, they last forever; there are loads of videos on the QR series maintenance/repair/modification, far more then any other compressor on the market.

I live 5 miles from the address listed on their website and I've never heard of them..... and I've been in this town my entire life.

I'll drive by there later today and see if their operation looks legit.

Edit: Another company by the name of "Northern Pottery" is also listed at the same address. lol

Arguably the Quincy QR series, as in the QR 325, 340, 350 are you best bet, well supported, parts available even on Ebay, they last forever; there are loads of videos on the QR series maintenance/repair/modification, far more then any other compressor on the market.

I couldn't agree more...well stated PC!

My QR 25- 325 supports a 6 man crew and we USE air tools! Also supports 2 CNC machines which gobble air during tool changes. I have a total of 360 gallons of air storage which keeps pump cycling to a minimum. I utilize a belt guard mounted aftercooler and Bekomat automatic condensate drain. I installed a run-hour meter on it when new and change the oil and oil filter every 500 hours and service the valves every 1000 hours. Never had any issues, runs smooth and quiet. The QR-25 series have arguably the highest initial purchase price, but if you depend on your compressor to keep your shop up and running, you won't find anything more dependable.

I picked up a QP-7.5 head to replace a dead IR splash lube. rated for 500-1000 pump rpm, max cfm about 25. 100% duty cycle. I'll be running it with a drive to hold 100psi.

also got a moisture separator, oil separator, and a cycling dryer.

What is your max budget?

I bought an eaton 5hp replacement pump for my Puma and am happy with the product and customer service.
