So, after many months of wanting, I finally got one. I know that it's not the most hot rod cart on the planet...but it should suit my needs at work well enough. And hell, it's black. Lol. Got it at the $129.99 price tag, which was actually last weeks "sale" price. I had a bit of a windfall (not a huge one), and decided that I've hauled a tool box back and forth enough. Hell, I'm just excited to have a cart. I'll have to look into the modifications thread for some ideas (would like to add a shelf, screwdriver holders, and perhaps wrench rack to it. I KNOW this can be done. Will have to spend a little more money on good drawer mats and socket organization, but it is a step in the right direction? :D

The july flyer HF sent me in the mail has a coupon on the last page for $109.00. I couldn't find that price on their website though.

The price changes as often as the direction of the wind. They don't generally go much lower than like $109 these days, but back a year or two ago, you could get them for $99 regularly, and $79 on occasion. I think I paid $79 for ours, and even though it isn't a snap on, it's been one of our most used items. I have no regrets about buying one. It will hold quite a bit of weight too.. Ours has had more than a few transmissions on the lid, as well as a 300lb sheet metal brake just today

$99 used to be the std. coupon price for coupons found in car and fix-it magazines.

That bumped up to $109 back in May but many $99 coupons are still out there.

5-dwr cart is still couponed at $164 so indeed, it changes like the wind.

HF knows that we know that they know that we know that they know that we know the pricing games... LOLOLOLOLZZZZZZZZZZ.

Ha.

Can't, coupon says can't be used on prior purchases. Even at $130 it's a deal because of how useful they are

...after 30 days from original purchase with original receipt.

Take the coupon and get your 30 bucks back!

Hell, I'm just excited to have a cart.

I've seen those carts in person (although it was red), and is probably the only item at HF that I would consider buying, and I'm a big "Made in USA" supporter. Even at the non-sale price (I know most here are bargain hunters :) it's well built and far better than most other off-shore made offerings.

Yep.

If a problem I'll drop a $109 coupon in the mail to ya that is real and not online and you'll get $20 plus whatever sales tax is due back to ya due to the lower price if 30 days from original purchase and w/receipt.

$20 will buy you a new set of Knipex dikes on sale at Sears. Boo-Ya.

Free Cart rebate coupon and thus free Knipex.
Win-win to me.

:)

I'm a very very bad man.

It's a great cart for the price. I got one for $99, used it for about a year, then sold it for $75 when I ran out of room for it.

I have had one for a few years now. Only mod I have done was go get a big pack of flat washers when I put it together. It may not have done anything, but the cart has held up well, and it seemed like a good idea at the time. Mine came with locknuts instead of the current spring washers.

Got it put together today. WEnt together easy. Holds all the stuff I had with me at work, and I still have space to fill. This is good, because I got a 1/2" drive set that needs to go in, as well as my good roll of Armstrong wrenches. I still have some miscellaneous tools that I need to toss in there. Gets them off the floor, next to the shoe rack. Lol.
I'm likely to be switching shops soon, so it is a little ironic to get a new cart, and then have to pack it out in short order.

company i work for bought all the mechanics a black HF cart to use in the shop.

our shop runs 3 service trucks, and no "full time" shop mechanic.

if you're stuck in the shop all day, it's handy to pile all the tools used during the day, and wheel it over to the truck.

the carts have been holding up good for the 6 months we've had them
