I need your opinion here. I have a brand new, never used, 56" box. I was gonna use it in my new garage when I finally get it done. I bought a bunch of those 26" Husky boxes that I think I want to use instead. I'm gonna put the 56" box on Craigslist but I'm not sure what to ask for it. I think they are going for around $699. at HF. Don't remember what I paid last spring. Anyone know what these are going for on Craigslist?

I don't know but if the price is right I'm sure it would sell on here. Maybe $100 off of new cost to start?

^^ I agree. Research the lowest cost the box goes for when on sale and then reduce it by another $100. It should sell easily.

Make sure you have full size, self hosted, high quality images (right side up) taken with a real camera vs. a phone. Images are what sells the item quickly assuming the price is right.

You are looking at the wrong box. Even the 44 inch box only gets down to $389
The box is $700 new.

You will need to lower the price more than $100 to make it sell.
Start at 75% of the retail price without tax. I bet it does not sell until you get town to half price. I seen them every now and then and they are always half price and in prefect shape.

I just picked up a 44 inch cabinet with 2 side boxes for $400. It is like it came out of the box. That is less than half price with tax.
The 56 inch box is light weight for such a large box. I don't like it.

I agree, start high and go from there. I sold my HF 42" box for 90% of what I paid for it, and it sold fast too. Don't forget they have to pay another ~$70 in tax on the box. Those HF boxes sell very, very well.

I would be inclined to list it at $699 just to test the water, you may be surprised. Not all people know about the coupons either.

Yup, another here to echo the sentiments of start high and whittle away as necessary. I too can attest to the fact that HF boxes/carts bring back a very high return if used, and if new like yours is, you shouldn't wind up taking too big of a loss on your initial out of pocket cost.

It's $799 on the web site. I don't think Delaware has tax, if they do add that in. I would bet you can sell it quickly for $600-$650. $699 might be pushing it just a bit, but you never know. I sold my 42" one for $300 w/ a coupon price of $349 IIRC. People don't know about the coupons.

Its brand new. I un-crated it but its still wrapped in plastic. I will take some pictures this weekend and put it on Craigslist. Thanks for the replies.

Also to answer member mtd240's PM...No I will not take $300 for it.
