I'm about to pull the trigger on a 44" box and 26" top in black or red depending on what's available on black Friday. Anyone know the good part numbers?

I've read all of those, no real numbers on the red ones and nothing on the 26" tops.

Don't get the generation that doesn't let the drawers fully extend; whichever generation that is. I was in the store one day and they had two 56 inch boxes side by side. One box would let you pull the drawers all the way out while other box sitting next to it wouldn't.

that not generation, that because more than 1 factory making the boxes and drawer extension is one of many differences.
Do note while the drawer may be fully extended the drawer is also less depth (front to back and that part of reason to why extends fully .
Anyone buying these and being fussy is best viewing boxes on display (any size box to reference drawer, slides, lock panel fold differences) and deciding on what like and dislike then choose that style for your require box size .

I have the one that doesn't let the drawers fully extend, I am not sure what model number it is, but it is the one people refer to as the inferior model.

That said, it never really poses a problem for me. It's only like 1-2" at the very rear, where I keep all my long breaker bars anyway.

The problem I'd have with that is I have a habit of pulling the drawers all the way out to get the slides in the same 'phase' with one another. When the drawers are pulled all the way out and the slides are on their full extension stops, I then know they're in phase.

The extensions are fully out so you would be fine with your 'phase' issue.
You be able upgrade from your snapon now lol .
Reason 1 factory have a 1" under opening is slides different and drawer depth front to back on the under hanging model is greater (the differing depth of the drawer pull top lip is lost from internal drawer depth)
I would only consider us general boxes be worth lowest coupon deals, too much a ballache trying get right product in right color in good condition during coupon price .
Seems easier pick up used matco or mac boxes to me ...

If they're not in phase, they won't stop at the same time when they reach their full extension stops. I put mine in phase about once a month.
