US General Series 2 vs. 3 Color

Does anyone know if the color of the blue Series 3 US General boxes is the same as the series 2. I’m trying to match to a cart and tray that I already have. The closest Series 2 available in a store is an hour and a half away so I may try ordering one online.

Can’t help you with the blue but I have a series 2 toolbox with a series 3 hutch on it. Both are red and the paint matches exceptionally well. Guessing the blue would be the same.

Thanks. Now crossing my fingers they come out with the chrome kit. The blacked out drawer handles aren’t my thing.

I’ve been waiting for a series 3 56”… but like you I want the black with chrome to match what I have. Hopefully they will soon, otherwise I’ll just try to find a series 2 somewhere.

I’m pretty sure the series 3 chrome trim will have a different shape than your series 2 trim, so it still won’t be an exact match. Hopefully you’re ok with that?

I had the same question and asked HF on their FB page and they told me that the colors are a match between series 2 & series 3. I have yet to see any in person though. They may appear different online because of the stock pictures they use and the black trim also tends to distort the way the color hue looks.

FYI They are starting to close out some of their Series 2 stuff. I bought a top and bottom 44" blue series 2 when they came out. Had to call around some this weekend but located a side cabinet and a locker in blue cost me a little over $200 for both.

The series 3 is really nice but more than I want to pay.
