US general series 3 wheels

I recently picked up my US general series 3 56 inch box.

i’m a little disappointed in the plastic wheels it is supplied with. Has anyone changed theirs out? They’re pretty new so probably not.

I expect they are a standard caster bolt pattern - at least the series 2 were. I took one caster off on mine, took it to the hardware store, and matched it with another. I did have to add a 3/16" spacer to get the swivels to clear.

Has anything done this?
Which castor?
Lowering my 42 inch Series 3 by an inch or two would be worthwhile if it kept the weight capacity.
