The ones I'm referring to are USA made. Is that still Stanley?

I have some "USA" Husky junk... from probably mid 90's... if it was made in the US, then they were made by Americans without thumbs and good equipment.

But I have 3/8" sockets and a rh ratchet, never seen the full polish combos - any pics?

I have a set of those, apart from the name they are identical to Craftsman Pro's.. so Danaher?

Stanley acquired the rights to the Husky brand with their purchase of National Hand Tools in 1986. In 1992, the Husky name was licensed to Home Depot with Stanley producing the actual tools. In February 2007 (I believe) Stanley transferred the rights to the Husky brand to HD, while still continuing to produce the tools in Taiwan.

What you need to ask yourself is why Stanley would have permitted another company to manufacture the Husky line when they obviously had the means and capacity to have done so themselves. In short, they wouldn't!

I'm very confident in saying Stanley produced the tools. I'm much less certain that they were made in the USA in spite of the stamping. :)

Many years ago waaaay before Home Depot Husky tools were made in USA.

I'm talking the 60's 70's. My father had a bunch of Husky tools made in USA. Husky Black-Hawk used to be made in USA.

If they're the ones I'm thinking of, they're Stanley, clones of the Stanley "Pro" line, and marked USA.

I've got a couple of 15/16" ones, and they're pretty nice.

I bought some Husky tools off a guy from Vermont. He lived near the plant in Burlington VT where they produced some Husky hand tools. Husky still owns a facility in Burlington.

Is this a Stanley factory? Husky has traditionally been a brand name rather than it's own company. Home Depot owns the name or the license at this point in time.
