US made Cougar sockets in metal box

I got an almost complete set of Cougar sockets. They are in a nice red box with labels. All stamped manufactured in USA. Are they vintage? I’m not familiar with the brand.

"Cougar" was Wright Tool Company's "second" (price point) line.
Older Cougar was US made. Contemporary Cougar is outsourced offshore.

I have a set of those. Decent enough, I guess, but they're not really old. Bought mine new within the last 10 years. Red box - made in USA.
I think you can still get them new.

Thanks amigo. I looked on line for replacement 7/16 socket. I found it easy enough to find a cougar socket but it would be made in Taiwan. Not a hater of foreign made tools, but most everything else is marked USA. So I hate to mix it up. Right now I’m just using them on my bench top for easy access. The ratchet was missing also so I have filled all the holes with craftsman USA made sockets and a brand new 72 tooth Duralast ratchet... just because I tried 57 other 3/8 ratchets and this one fits the tray best. Makes no sense, but it feels good to me.
