Definitely interested in where you got them. I have the same flare nut wrenches in SAE and would like a good deal on metric. Same with the stubbies...

Neighbors garage in his old but new craftsman box while he's at work in a store?

I have a few missing that needs to be filled too. Matco skinny wrenchs come to mind.

Barcelo, I just picked up larger wrench in PS haul #5 if you need?

What's the harm in mentioning where you got them? You've already had time to clean out the store you bought them from.

Me neither. Actually, I think it's just plain f'n rude. Some people just love dangling carrots. Sad.

That is easy to find. There is allot of older stock US made craftsman. You run across them all the time on ebay or when you visit sears stores. It is not impossible to find. But you threw out look what I found and then added it was not a common tool store. So imho you are just playing a game with the board. And still you do not want to let everyone know where you got it.

A classic case of Russel's Teapot?

"If I were to suggest that between the Earth and Mars there is a china teapot revolving about the sun in an elliptical orbit, nobody would be able to disprove my assertion provided I were careful to add that the teapot is too small to be revealed even by our most powerful telescopes. But if I were to go on to say that, since my assertion cannot be disproved, it is intolerable presumption on the part of human reason to doubt it, I should rightly be thought to be talking nonsense." --Bertrand Russell

Yeah, I was wonderin about that dude, what happened ?

07Forester disappeared shortly after posting the initial "golden carrot" and then RoarkIndustrialSolutions tried to cover for him, but since 07Forester's last activity was on 02-08-2012 @ 09:37 PM and he's made no posts since, it doesn't look promising.

Guys, on behalf of 07Forester, let me assure you he has not dropped this ball or is missing. He is traveling this month and will return in a couple weeks. He texted me today and has been having connectivity issues during his travels. Please be patient, as he is a very busy guy. If you have concerns, please e-mail me at [email protected].

I find USA made Craftsman stuff all the time. Just this past weekend I was at a Pawn Shop that had two boxes of the stuff, over 196 pieces including ratchets, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc. I didn't pull the trigger because they wanted $400 bucks. But in hindsight that was only around $2 dollars so probably not that bad of a deal.

Yep, just about any Pawn Shop will be overflowing with Craftsman tools.

I bought several USA Craftsman wrenches out of the $1 bucket at one a few years ago for some wrenches to keep in the truck.

I don't get it, Craftsman USA is still readily available, sometimes even in stores. It's not even close to being rare yet.

what an absurd game

after his original post and people asking where he got it... he makes 4 more posts and doesn't answer the question

he even states he paid a lot for the tools... so what's the big deal??? he doesn't want us to know how much he overpaid for his stuff

3-20-12 I turned in a bad 1/4, 1/4 socket at SEARS and got a new 1/4, 1/4 made in USA laser marked socket in return. The new was smaller in size then the old? I hope it last since SEARS will probably go belly up soon.:dunno:
