I have mostly dewalt 18v stuff and it has treated me quite well over the years. Ive been holding off getting an impact for awhile and today made my case for getting one. I was originally going to get the new usa built 20v impact but i really did not want to have to buy all new cordless tools or add another style to the lineup (already have some ryobi and cman cordless stuff as well). Today at Home Depot i saw a DC825B 18v BUILT IN USA impact on the shelf for $99. I just about ran to the checkout with it but the cheapskate in me decided to check ebay first. I had searched for "usa dewalt impact" yesterday and got zero hits. This time i used the model number and found one for $59.99 free ship. Very happy to get this and save $40 in the process.

usa assembled

By a USA owned company, the only one of the majors left. So I think it's something to be admired

Milwaukee, Chinese company made in China
Makita, Japanese company
Bosch, Germany
Hilti, Liechs etc

Given those choices I think the choice is obvious for folks who want to try to support American companies and American manufacturing

Milwaukee is a Chinese company? I hate to hear that because I really like their sawzall and mini grinder. Used to have a hole shooter, too. That thing would twist you in half if the bit caught!

Its unfortunate but the Milwaukee Electric Tool Corporation is a brand of Techtronic Industries. Very few new Milwaukee power tools are made-in-USA. Treasure and repair any old made-in-USA Milwaukee power tools as the imported versions are not the same.

You got that right!

Fuel is the best of the best right now. Chinese or not, Milwaukee is making some awesome tools.
