USA Made Adjustable Wrench

I need to buy some adjustable wrenches and was shocked to find that crescent isn't made in the US anymore. I have looked hard to find a set made in the US but couldn't so I was wondering if any of you could help me?

there are other Proto 8-inch models listed on ebay as well - that one is the least expensive of the lot.
both of them are well made (I have one of the Wilde models and two of the Protos) although I prefer the thicker heads of the older Diamond models myself.

And not one piece of equipment waiting for an electronic chip. I'm impressed. They put a lot of people to work making these wrenches.

Buy name brand vintage that has 'Made in USA' or 'USA' on it. Just be sure to select such that haven't been abused (of course).

Snap-On wrenches aren’t made by Irega.
They’re made by Snap-On Europe, which moved production of the Bahco wrench line down to Spain, from Sweden.
One of the Snap-On Europe brands was Irimo, a Spanish brand, and they made adjustable wrenches, so maybe that facility is making the wrenches.
Hopefully the Snap-On wrenches are better made than the Spanish Bahco adjustable wrenches, which are sometimes ****.

I believe Western Forge made adjustable wrenches for pretty much every US brand. Now that they are gone, I don't know of any US company that is making them. Irega is the go-to manufacturer for adjustable wrenches now.

Agree; I didn't say SO was made by Irega.

The Channellock I have are Irega. I have pretty much every brand in adjustables but SO: WF, Williams (not WF), Bacho, Fuller? (japan), Engineer?.... and the Iregas are better than all of them.

Decades ago, Williams adjustables weren't made by WF. I have a few "super-justables" (?) and they are not WF. I don't know if Williams made them, but WF didn't.

I think SK got WF's equipment after they closed, and they aren't contracting to anyone else anymore.

As for Proto's website, they show Stanley 100 Plus screwdrivers as being made here even though they haven't been since about 2016. But it seems now that they have put the USA made ones on the last page, and they might still have some old stock still.

I did order a Proto wrench about 2-3 years ago from Grainger. It's US-made. I'm guessing it was old stock. To be honest, it's decent, but I prefer the old USA-made Crescent wrenches, old Craftsman and old Williams Superwrenches.

I bought a couple of new old stock USA made Crescent Wrenches from Harry Epstein last summer. I think I got a 12" and 15". I haven't used them and probably never will, but the price was right. There may still be some left.

I'm not sure how you are with your eBay'ing BUT if you search for Diamond Tool and Horseshoe they were made in Duluth, MN and are super good stuff. Nothing being made anymore but you can piece together a set pretty quickly. I've had my fat *** on the end of a 6' pipe bouncing on an 18" adjustable of theirs and it showed no damage .....

I must add that I have a bit of a bias to their adjustables as I own over 150 of them from the very first set made in the early 1920's to the last set made in the 1980's. They're damn good tools and a neat piece to show off in the shop as well ....
