if you don't mind sharing, what are the specs and price on your castair?
Bought it 2 years ago. Gave right at $1600 delivered. Truthfully don't remember the cfm, but it does keep up to my 1" impact.

Check out Jenny compressors. Pumps made in Pennsylvania.http://www.jennyproductsinc.com/stationary/electric.html
I have a J5A-60 and it's fantastic, I haven't seen anything even close to comparable that puts out as much air as it does. Single stage, 28.7CFM displaced @125 PSI, 19.0CFM delivered. 780 RPM so it's nice and quiet. Never seen anyone on here talk about them, I guess they're just not well known or what?

No, it's not too hard at all. As many of the previous posts in this thread have said, Quincy, Champion, Saylor Beall, some IR, some RolAir, some Campbell Hausfeld, Jenny, some Curtis, the list goes on.You may be hard pressed finding a pump made in the US, but I could be wrong.
we just bought a quincy 5hp 60gal 17.5 cfm $1200.00 made in the USA
Yea, that confused me too. This is listed in the features of most, if not all, of the compressors on their site:I copied this from their website."On November 20, 2003, Jenny purchased the Emglo line of Industrial Stationary Air Compressors and the entire Air Compressor Pump Manufacturing Facility from Black&Decker/DeWalt prior to the relocation of their plant to Renosa, Mexico. Jenny and our affiliated companies had been supplying and manufacturing a large number of parts, components, and assemblies for Emglo for over 30 years." So, does this mean Jenny purchased the B&D facility before B&D moved to Mexico and that the pumps are still made here in the USA, or is it Jenny that has moved to Mexico. Can we also infer that Emglo pumps are made by Jenny. I think I am confused.![]()
The company seems pretty honest...He wanted USA made, not Chinese made.....
lol, out of all the words in the English language, "honest" is the last one I'd use to describe Eaton. The company seems pretty honest...
