Check out Jenny compressors. Pumps made in Pennsylvania.http://www.jennyproductsinc.com/stationary/electric.html

I have a J5A-60 and it's fantastic, I haven't seen anything even close to comparable that puts out as much air as it does. Single stage, 28.7CFM displaced @125 PSI, 19.0CFM delivered. 780 RPM so it's nice and quiet. Never seen anyone on here talk about them, I guess they're just not well known or what?

I copied this from their website."On November 20, 2003, Jenny purchased the Emglo line of Industrial Stationary Air Compressors and the entire Air Compressor Pump Manufacturing Facility from Black&Decker/DeWalt prior to the relocation of their plant to Renosa, Mexico. Jenny and our affiliated companies had been supplying and manufacturing a large number of parts, components, and assemblies for Emglo for over 30 years." So, does this mean Jenny purchased the B&D facility before B&D moved to Mexico and that the pumps are still made here in the USA, or is it Jenny that has moved to Mexico. Can we also infer that Emglo pumps are made by Jenny. I think I am confused.:headscrat

You may be hard pressed finding a pump made in the US, but I could be wrong.
No, it's not too hard at all. As many of the previous posts in this thread have said, Quincy, Champion, Saylor Beall, some IR, some RolAir, some Campbell Hausfeld, Jenny, some Curtis, the list goes on.

Yea, that confused me too. This is listed in the features of most, if not all, of the compressors on their site:

Heavy-duty single or two stage cast iron compressor pump - Made in Somerset, PA USA

Check out Quincys warranty, if you buy service kits with it I think it has an incredible warranty indicating to me they are very confident you are not going to have a problem. I have an old Quincy 325 that brings a smile to my face every time I turn it on.

where did you get that deal?

I found it online for like 1295.00 shipped +75.00 for a lift gate .
My son works accross the street from a compressor company that i knew was a quincy dealer so he took what I printed out told them it was a cash deal and they said 1200.00 if we could wait so they could put it on a stock order. it came he borrowed a friends lawn trailer which made it easy for us to unload. plus they threw ina gallon of oil :bounce:

and the funny part of this story is i was working for a saylor beall dealer at the time and the quincy was cheaper than my cost on a SB :shocking:

What is the problem with Eaton? Two people have dished them without substance. Please state support your position, if you are going to make the statement.

Eaton has American flags pasted all over their compressors but the pumps are made in China. He keeps trying to BS his way into saying the majority of the parts are American but if you look close, the tank and a few other parts are USA made while the pump is Chinese and in most cases that I have seen, the motors and pressure switches are NOT made in the USA. His "majority of parts" must count each bolt, screw and washer used to bolt the foriegn parts onto the USA made tank.

Pay close attention to where the American flags are placed on his compressors. The parts with the flags are the ONLY ones made in the USA.

Do a search about Eaton's business practices, you might be surprised what you find.

Man, that Belaire silenced model sure looks sweet, but man, it is pricey!
