I currently have Montana (USA), Wera, Vessel and Milwaukee tool driver bit sets and Im trying to look for another American made set that isn’t made by Montana or Snap On Zephyr. Aside from some NOS Craftsman, Vermont/Bosch I see on EBay, I don’t believe there are any.

Question: Are there any US made sets that come in a box?

Aside from Montana and Zephyr, are there any other manufacturers?
Proto makes a USA made set.

For a period of time Tekton sold Mayhew screwdrivers which in the normal slotted variety were pieces of ****. They had no hollow grind and were shaped more like a chisel rather than a screwdriver. Just because it's made in America doesn't mean it's made well. Those days are long gone. Frankly, if you're talking screwdrivers, you're talking Vessel.

I noticed a 100-piece set on McMaster, coo USA. https://www.mcmaster.com/2599N1/
I don't recognize the case. Maybe incorrect information?
Feels doubtful that it is really COO USA, but plausible I suppose. Claims to be made by Radwell on their website; see:

Does Radwell manufacture bits? I never noticed them while searching specifically for USA made bits, which I will admit means almost nothing. Even the Brownells bits are made by Zephyr. If you buy the set, I am interested in your opinion.

There's that set mentality again. Imagine paying $7.00 for one single bit. That's what I did when I needed a T20 tamperproof for my MAF sensor.

The thought of buying a whole set never entered my mind because I don't need to be spending a thousand dollars on screwdriver bits.

I don't know how you found that, but good job. (y) I doubt it as well. The bits look like every other 100 piece bit set that google can find.

Bits are something I think you can be a little wasteful with. You can probably fit a couple hundred of them in your front pocket, so they're never going to bury you.

I also noticed that Drill Hog started manufacturing impact-rated Torx bits, though they only sell them in packs of 10 at the moment. https://drill-hog.myshopify.com/collections/torx-insert-bits

I realize this thread was recently woken from the dead, but it looks like the premise was USA made bits so I will caution that Drill Hog bits are not made in the USA. They famously plaster American flags and "USA" on their stuff but you'll note they never use the exact words "Made in USA".

Note, this is not a comment on how they function.

RhinoUSA does the same thing with all their ratchet straps. I commented on one of their videos on the book of faces, asking if they were made in China or actually made in the US. I got blocked after that.

Not exactly Snap on, and made in USA.

That set is made by Qualtool. I mentioned the brand in post #4. An industrial supplier I have done business with for many years stocks a good portion of their catalog, some of which I personally have. I rate them a tier below Zephyr and ApexUSA, but still high quality.
At the same time, neither of those two offer impact rated USA-made bits but Qualtool does. They are one of the few companies still making these without a necked down torsion zone. Also their lobular drive nutsetters are little known about and a unique tool.
Qualtool largely distributes through industrial channels and supplies to government and private contractors. They don’t have a large online presence nor do they have mass public marketing as thats not their bread and butter.

Is that really a big deal? Even on my bits with the neck down, they either wear out or break at the drive end rather than the necked down area most of the time.

Its more the torque stick effect I don’t like.

I would imagine, like a torque stick, electric impact drivers have too high of IPM to really make that a thing. TTC did a video on torque sticks and how modern impacts hit too quickly for the torque stick to really do it's job.
