The smallest Wilde-sourced prybar they offer is the 12”. Wilde makes an 8” but Tekton doesnt sell it.
It seems these are filling two voids, yet being neither a standard 8” prybar nor a pocket prybar.
These are very close in length to my old hard handle Matco/Snap-on mini pry bars, but the multiple angles and narrow chisel tip of the business end make these unique.
While I do question how well that sharp pointed tip will hold up, these seem like a solid offering.
My thoughts exactly, particularly with the 1/4” ones

Unlike their picks, Tekton stamped USA on the handle section opposite the Tekton side.

I guess the original batch of pick handles were not stamped, I never noticed. But I restocked on 90* picks last month and just checked the handles and they have the USA on them. But I also got my mini pry bar set in yesterday and they immediately got put to use at work this AM. I'm a believer, these are gonna be used a lot.

Wish they had a zero-degree one. After hanging around GJ, I got a set of the Mayhew mini's. The straight one is great for prying things (like ancient plastic switches) open.

Regardless, nice to see more USA-made stuff from Tekton. Last week, the FedEx guy handed me my order from Tekton: A set of their big pry bars, and some more Erst socket rail rebrands. All made in USA, in a Tekton box.

I agree with the straight. I carry a snapon straight pocket pry bar in my pocket at work. It's replaced a standard tweaker/ mini screw driver I use daily. I've only warrantied 1 straight in a year, I used to get 2-3 months out of a normal pocket screw driver.

These do appear to be a little bigger than the standard pocket screw driver and might not be very pocket friendly.

I carried both a Snap On mini pry bar and a standard pocket screwdriver. Both were used every day and I found different uses for both.

As for the Tekton, I really want to order these. I like the in-between size gap these seem to fill between pocket pry bars and just a small pry bar, both of which I have.

Mine came in yesterday. They seem pretty beefy. A few pics of them next to Mayhew and Lisle pocket prybars I have.

I ordered a set along with the picks combo for $42. Will put up pictures when they get here.

Mine came in yesterday. They seem pretty beefy. A few pics of them next to Mayhew and Lisle pocket prybars I have.

I think I really need to order the "petite pierce, pick, pull, poke, push, *****, and pry" combo too.

Thanks much for the comparo pics with the pocket prybars.

I must have an early batch of the picks. The handles are slightly different. In addition to the new pry bar handles saying USA, there's a chamfer on the business end of the handle vs the flat end on the picks.

We are taking about prybars, not sure where sockets are coming from.

If you’re referring to the post about socket ID with/without chamfers then the definition still applies. If the socket ID angle cut (aka. “chamfer”) is cut so big that is removes the 90* surface entirely then by definition it’s a bevel. However anecdotally people would just call it a ”big chamfer“
