Used Air Compressor Value- fair value to offer

Hey guys i need some input on this used air compressor i found on craigslist. I went and checked it out in person and everything checks out doesn't look like its be mishandled at all, engine looks is clean no signs of oil on it and ran it while in front of me , didn't get a scent of oil and took the time to drain from the and just a very small amount of moisture popped out and which was also clear. Former owner was a older gentlemen who ran a tire service for simi's and knew how to care for his compressors.Wondering what would be a fair offer to give. IDK where they got the whole $900 from cause they think the item was originally worth 1,500. Model-VT619503AJ

I have found craigslist people think their compressors are made of gold. $350 tops. Buy a new CH that has the same specs for $469. I did.

I'd pass on that one, or pay around $200 ($250 max). It sounds like it has a lot of use on it and as stated above, you can get that compressor brand new (with a warranty) for under $500 at several different box stores.

I regularly see this size of compressor on CL for 1.5x its new price! You just can't fix stupid/greedy and there is no sense in trying either.
