Used Cabinets and more

I was recently in the Cleveland area and on a recommendation from a friend stopped into HGR Industrial Supply in Euclid Ohio and man am I glad I did. I have always looked with some jealousy at those on this site that have shiny new examples of storage cabinets and work benches in their garages because for now it is out of my reach and finding good suppliers of used cabinets in my area is hit or miss, mostly miss. But this place had it all with what I thought was reasonable prices. It is like an indoor flea market of industrial surplus everything from cabinets to metalworking machinery up to and including big industrial machines. They let you walk through the place and man did I like what I saw rows and rows of pallet racking, shelving, cabinets desks, welders, compressors on and on. Here are few pictures I snapped. Unfortunately I had flown there with no way to get stuff home, even though they offered to ship it. I am seriously thinking about going back with my truck and trailer. They said all of their items are on their website but to me it was cooler to go there and walk around.

If anyone knows of a place around Virginia like this please let me know.

Yeah, HGR is a terrific place!! I used to live in Akron, OH (about 35 mi. south of HGR) and a trip to HGR was like a kid's trip to a candy store!! Bought a lot of items from there over the years ... three Delta drill presses, Cincinnati horizontal milling machine, South Bend lathe, chucks, collets, etc. etc. etc. Since their inventory varies with whatever surplus equipment comes in through the door, you never know what you'll find ... which makes it all the more fun to just drop in and do a walk-through. But, big mistake to go without your truck ... or maybe, depending on your self-control, it may be a big mistake to go WITH your truck!!!

There is a used dealer in Richmond, but you have to have an appointment scheduled through someone with a business account with him. We have one. He doesn't let you just walk around, but if you know what you're looking for, we can get pics and send before you need to see it in person. We recently helped liquidate a bunch of Vidmar cabinets. He might have a couple left.

E-mail me if you're interested.

Now that would come in pretty handy.
I don't remember the price on this but it was not much and I remember thinking that it would make a great out building for storage and or my compressor and all one would need is a role back and place to put it. "No assembly required"

HGRs website is sensory overoad for me.
It's about like going two days without eating and then walking into a grocery store with 5 bucks in your pocket.

Been there but didn't think the prices were that good. Maybe it's more about availability...

Well, I didn't take 2 weeks but did send the afternoon browsing around.

The place is huge.

Unfortunately, I came home empty handed but I will be keeping an eye on there site and inventory for things I "need"
