Hi guys, so I have been saving up money with the old man to get a good compressor. We have a few car sections that are developing rust and want to soda blast the areas before repainting.

I found a used Cambell Hausfeld HS5180 for $700 bucks. I was wondering what everyone thought about these. Also I am probably going to go and test it tomorrow. Anyone know what to look for as possible problems? The guy has it setup and I will be able to test it.

If its good I may make an offer and take it home. I have a 3rd generation durango, I could drain the oil and put inside the bay. But its 400 pounds which is pretty heavy. I may also bring HF trailer and put horizontally on that and tie its down.

Thoughts?

I can't tell you anything about the compressor, but if you have a trailer use that. I had a Durango and it could very likely hold something this size. I think it would be much easier to load and unload on a trailer.
