First things first.......most of you are American. I live in Canada and tools cost a hell of a lot more here for the most part.

Anyways, there is a used compressor for sale locally. It is a Devilbiss ProAir II 5HP 20 gal (120/240v - 15A/7.5A) PAFC5020. It will put out 8.1 SCFM @40psi & 6.0 SCFM @ 90psi. Oil-free pump I believe and it's about 5 years old. The fella is selling it for 150 dollars and it's in decent shape to my eye.

I know this is fairly high for a used compressor like this however a compressor similar to this will sell at about $500 here. We Canadians are ripped off on tools I'm tellin ya. Every 20gal compressor I have looked at is at least over 500 dollars here in Canada!

So is this a decent compressor? The oil-less pump is something I really do not like but still, it seems alright to me. Is there a good way to test this thing out to make sure it is in good order?

Cheers!

That's not a great deal. I would hold out for an oiled pump. I agree that the used deals are harder to find here (I'm in Ottawa), but they are out there. If you want a small compressor, check Costco. Much less than 500!

For used, keep looking. $250 bought me this:

You're right dude.....they are really hard to find. I have to drive an hour to get it too. You talked me out of it!

What have you seen at Cosco that compares?
