Recently I picked up a used Craftsman tool box and intermediate chest at a garage sale. Usually I prefer the classic grey/red 1960's and 1970's Craftsman boxes. But it was at a really good price so I weakened under the delusion I could use it at work. If I replace the top rubber mat it will look a lot better.
Based on the 80 year anniversary sticker, I presume these are ~2007 vintage boxes. The top box has the a sticker showing it is model number 706.596970 (67332). The bottom box has the a sticker showing it is model number 706.596850 (67928). The 706 prefix shows that they are made by Waterloo.
But I cannot find any information using either set of numbers on the Internet or on SearsPartsDirect.
Does anyone have any idea of the load capacity of the drawer ball bearing slides?
Thanks
