Used floor jack opinions

I don't really "need" more jacks but damn...I almost can't stand not to buy them. Just curious as to my best options. I already own a walker 882 2 ton log jack and a walker 1 1/2 ton shorty (both of which were just resealed) but these others are calling to me for some reason.

Option 1: 3 snap on 2 1/2 ton branded Walker? Brand jacks supposedly 2 work fine, one doesn't. Asking $250 for all three

Option 2: Walker 93657 4 ton long body jack needs seals asking $200

Wife says WTF do you "need" another jack for?

Opinions or input please

I think they are all pretty over priced for their condition. If I had to pick I would get the walker.

I peruse the CL classifieds often and I NEVER see any USA floor jacks. Maybe it's a regional thing?

I would go with option a but talk him down in price. Rebuild one and sell it to cover the cost of the two I keep. Great jacks.

They are made by Walker? Or is it Lincoln? Or are they the same?

I think originally Walker then they were bought by lincoln.

Don't feel bad. I have 4 floor jacks. Told thew wife that cars have 4 wheels so you need a jack for each one unless SHE wants to come hold up one wheel. She didn't. So I have 4 jacks.

Since you really don't need them, why not keep an eye out down the road? If you do check out the snap on's check the rams for pitting, looks to be some heavy rusting in spots. Figure ~$40 for each snap on kit and IIRC ~$80 for the walker. I personally think they are going to be time and money pits. I'm pretty sure I have one of those snap on's under the walker badge (blue/yellow paint). It was a bear to rebuild, doable thanks to a tutorial on here, but still a pain.

With few exceptions all new floor jacks are being made in Asia. So I have a problem passing on old American iron. I have 5 jacks now. All restored and working beautifully, and yet I think I would have a hard time passing on those jacks. That Walker is easily a $1,200 jack now new for something comparable. Same with the two Snap On if one could get something as nice now. So, I would pick them up. But then, I'm a tool addict. Help me..Check out what new Milwaukees or Weavers go for in those sizes as they are the only ones of quality still being made in the USA.

I would not pay a lot for any used floor jack that had not been rebuilt, just because they are around at more reasonable prices.
