Which one? I think the cheapest were single stage, 3 cylinder for around $800. They also have some better 2 stage compressors that were in the $1200-1500 range.

All I know is the pic shows a red Husky, says Pro on it. Gauges are mounted on it in the motor/pump bracket. Auctioneer thinks it will be reasonable.

That's exactly the one I scored not long ago. It's currently in my father's garage.
From what I could find its a 4hp, 12 cfm @ 100+ psi Campbell H pump. Basically your entry-level two stage compressor. It's about $1200 new and the newer versions have a bit more cfm. It does have a remote drain but that didn't work on the one I got. I wouldn't pay the $1000 from that link if that happens to be the asking price.

If it's at an auction and you can't see it run, you have to assume worst-case and assume you'll need a pump or a motor and price it accordingly. Now it may be perfect, I get that, but what if the motor is fried? Add another $300 right there.

If it was me? I'd probably pay up to $500 if it was in pristine condition, $300-400 otherwise.

Don't get auction fever - it can be a long recovery for your wallet.

It is at an auction. I know the auctioneer and he is supposed to take a video of it running and send it to me. He thinks it will bring no more than $300.

Here is the actual compressor:
