I'm no expert on nor knowledgeable about the history of such productions. :wtf: I suppose anything is possible but I would tend to think not. So are you looking for a lathe?

Now that I have my shop just about completed I am liking for a lathe.... Not sure that's the one I'm going to buy!

Noticed some minor damage to one of the hand wheels. Looks like a nice lathe though. Don't hold it's professed past against it. Every lathe deserves a second chance.

Who writes an ad like that?! Maybe take along a friend if you go to look at it.

There are multiple damage points on that lathe. Could have had a rough ride out here. No surprise that it came from a 'toy' factory. It was probably used in the tool room to make and repair molds and fixtures.

i dont see how you would use a lathe to make one of those.... i think a stamping/extruding process would be the ideal way, i mean you cant really make a smooth enough surface in a fast enough time on a machine like that.... just not cost effective. i think this guy is blowing hot air.

That's a ******** ad. Mostly everything is molded and not turned on a lathe as far as *****'s go. And no, I'm not an expert or customer

My dad managed a company that moulded and assembled soap dispensers here in Canada. They had a sister company in the UK that moulded soap dispensers, pressure washer guns and **** plugs.

I know, useless info, but I still found it an interesting combination. :D

Didn't know they had plastic dildos in the '30's. He probably isn't computer savvy, and asked one of his buddies to post it for him. I probably would have done something similar.

Monarch is one of the best lathes ever built, that one is sure worth a look. If it's in reasonable shape it's worth the price. I think that the ad was written by someone who doesn't know much about lathes or ***** fabrication.
