Hi everyone,

I'm very new here and have really enjoyed reading about other people's garages and projects. It certainly inspires me to do something with mine!!

Anyways, I came across an ad for some used Lista cabinets and was wondering if it was a good deal. The person is asking $5000 CDN obo.

Here is what is included:

- There are 3 cabinets with 4 drawers of the same size and 1 cabinet with 3 drawers of different size.
- All units can be secured together.
- Hard Wood Top: 10 Ft Long x 30 1/4" Deep
- All cabinets are 27 3/4" Deep x 33 1/2" High x 28 1/2" Wide
- 3 Cabinets with 4 drawers (the size of the drawers is 5" High x 24" Large x 24" Deep)
- 4th cabinet with 3 different size drawers:
Top Drawer: 1" High
Center Drawer: 7" High
Bottom Drawer: 11" High

All cabinets have a lock bar and a lock. One lock has been drilled by former owner that had lost the keys. Overall condition is really good. It shows traces of rust but other than the drilled lock it is in a superb condition. Would be perfect to lock your tool in a commercial area. It was once used in a high security facility according to the former owner. Made in U.S.A. by Lista International.

Here are some links to the pics:

sounds pretty high to me too but then again I am working out of a hodgepodge of tool boxes drawers peg board and cabinet's I would hold out untill something in better shape comes along those cabinet's have seen better day's hell you could pick up a nice used snap-on setup for that price but it depend's on what you are storing tool's or piles of "may need em one day parts" still think it is too much though :)

their you go brand new snap on double wide roll cabinet and top chest 11 drawers 5590$ list I am sure you could get those for 5g off the truck cheaper used I have used the cabinet before and it is very nice smooth as silk even the top drawer loaded with sae metric 1/4-1/2" shallow-deep socket's plus impact's and ratchet's extensions ect you would not even no the drawer had that type of load on it unless you look inside. Just offering you a helpfull pointer you can't go wrong with snap on and that combo is 100 time's better then those lista's depending on the use

I've got a bunch near me, starting at $50 a pop, but I have no place for them, plus most are 60" & 66" tall.

I don't think I have the kind coin to buy them, refurbish them and sell them on Ebay.

Those ARE priced way too high. You could buy new cabinets for that much.

Remember, the bulk of the price with Lista is due to the number of drawers. These cabinets have a low number of drawers.

These are also of the older variety and probably don't have the one-drawer-open-at-a-time safety feature. Not a big deal, but just wanted to make that point.

If I was going to go for them, I'd offer about $800-$1000 USD.

Cabinets that size and drawer config are available used around here for $300-$400 each. Taller 10-12 drawer units run about $600.

the day i would pay 5000$ for a setup like that, i deserve to be shot.
5000$ would build a hell of a nice cabinet setup and a proper bench.
and you'd still have about 2500$ leftover!
