used Quincy compressor

Picked up a used Quincy compressor of CL. Not sure how old but it says AirStar on it. 5HP with an 80 gal tank. Seemed a little slow to pump up to 100lbs, but I ran out of time. The next day I turned it back on and timed it. It took 4 minutes to go from 100lbs to 175lbs. I emailed the local Quincy rep but have not gotten a response in 2 days. Does this seem like a long time to build pressure? or was I just expecting it to do more? The guy gave me a brochure he had found on the interned that shows a 1991 date on it. According to it it is supposed to put out 21 CFM. I can not find anything for AirStar. Anyone with any input? I would really appreciate it greatly. thank you.

any pics and does it have a tag on the pump with model number and is it pressure lubed?

I know my 30 gallon tank takes a while to get up to 175 PSI. I've never timed it and usually I am doing something else while it fills up so don't pay attention to it but if I had to estimate I would say somewhere around 8-10 minutes to fill my 30 gallon. And I would assume your 80 gallon would take 10-15 minutes to fully pump up.

Sounds good to me. I have a 60 gallon with a 3 HP motor. Takes 8 minutes from empty to 135.

If the numbers you gave are accurate, your pump is putting out 13.6cfm.

Ill get some pics tonight. The info on the tags is worn off but the guy gave me some numbers he had wrote down. Maybe I just expected more out of it I guess.

After a slight delay due to weekend activities. The serial number he said came off the pump is AT 102984.
