Used rafter ?s

I have 12 used fink style rafters I would like to use for a pole building. They are 30' by 5' 4" with 2x6 top chords and the rest 2x4. Can I space these on 4' or at least 3' o/c ? The building will just be used for cold storage/garage with metal roof and sides. Also how far apart can I space posts? I was looking for some info on this when I came across this web site. It looks very friendly with out the snide remarks on other sites. Thanks

My posts are 12' apart and trusses are on top of posts.

Sorry to say, but you will either need to contact the original truss manufacturer or an engineer. Too many variables (mainly snow load) to have someone in CA tell you it's fine to space them X' apart when your location will obviously have snow load.

Did they originally come from a pole shed? I may be stating the obvious but there are big differences between 2' OC "garage" trusses and actual pole building trusses.
